Illinois Institute of Technology is a private, Ph.D.-granting technological university, with programs in engineering, architecture, the sciences, humanities, psychology, business, law, and design. Created in 1940, IIT traces its roots back over a century to the founding of the Armour Institute of Technology (1890) and the Lewis Institute (1895). Materials contributed to the Internet Archive from IIT's archives and historical library collections cover subjects such as engineering theory and practice, Chicago and Illinois history, the history of science and technology, and the history of IIT and its predecessor institutions. The Paul V. Galvin Library, IIT's main library, supports the efforts of the Internet Archive to build and maintain free and open access to an on-line digital library.Browse by dateAll items (most recently added first) -
